The GBB Project Team was tasked with evaluating waste streams and service needs at a variety of industrial sites, including dairy, animal feed production, warehousing, chemical manufacturing, and seed distribution.

Also included in the project was the evaluation of nationwide service proposals and recommendations of the best vendor to facilitate waste minimization, reuse, recycling, and proper disposal at sites across the organization. The GBB Project Team:

• Analyzed the waste management system at several Land O’ Lakes sites for efficiency, waste reduction and recycling efforts, and service quality;
• Conducted site visits;
• Participated in three proposer interviews; and
• Provided a briefing to Land O’ Lakes staff, including GBB recommendations.

The GBB Project team then developed a report that reviewed key findings and presented final recommendations to reduce costs and waste, recycle as much as possible, and “right-size” waste collection services at Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed locations.
