GBB was tasked with supporting Charles County in engaging citizens in an outreach effort as part of the development of a solid waste management plan for submission to the Maryland Department of the Environment.

An important public outreach effort was conducted to inform the various steps of the solid waste management plan development:

• Created an advisory committee and facilitated meetings.
• Collaborated with the County to develop an online survey instrument for residents and provided advice on deploying it.
• Cooperated with the County to plan and conduct two virtual public input activities.
