Vienna, VA (October 2nd, 2023) – Gershman, Brickner & Bratton, Inc. (GBB) is pleased to announce that it has joined the CDP Accredited Solutions Providers program, for the Cities, States and Regions Consultancy Partners category, as a leading environmental service provider vetted to help disclosing organizations find high-quality support to accelerate their journey towards environmental leadership.

As an Accredited Solutions Provider, GBB will support public-sector organizations working with CDP to improve their disclosure, take vital action toward a sustainable economy, and implement their sustainability strategy.

“The addition of GBB into our network of accredited solutions providers will bring highly valued expertise to the thousands of companies using CDP to disclose their environmental data and support them to implement leading actions to manage risks and reduce their impacts. We are confident that GBB’s capabilities will be useful, and we are glad to accredit them as a valued, high-quality service provider,” stated Paul Robins, Global Head of Partnerships at CDP.

“GBB has been driven by environmental sustainability since its founding more than 40 years ago,” said Steve Simmons, GBB President. “Having helped hundreds of organizations craft practical, customized, and technically sound solutions for complex environmental and solid waste management challenges, GBB is uniquely positioned to assist public-sector entities in their quest towards environmental reporting, transparency, and accountability to tackle the risks of climate change and build on the opportunities of a sustainable, net-zero future.”

The gold standard of environmental reporting, and formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, CDP is a global not-for-profit organization that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states, and regions to manage their environmental impacts. In 2022, over 1,100 cities, states, and regions disclosed environmental data on the CDP/International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) Unified Reporting System, the official reporting platform for C40 Cities and ICLEI Green Climate Cities, as well as one of the two official reporting platforms for the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy.

To help and support organizations in the process of measuring and disclosing environmental data on an annual basis, CDP has built a reliable network of Accredited Solutions Providers, through a rigorous accreditation process that verifies their credentials. GBB will be trained on CDP’s tools, services, questionnaires, and scoring methodologies. GBB will also participate in webinars to stay ahead of the curve on new developments at CDP and the wider city sustainability space and to exchange best practices.
