GBB assisted the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas, in the planning and analysis to adjust rates for certain waste collection services conducted by the City and disposal services at the City-owned landfill. GBB’s services included a review and critique of the City’s rate model and the City’s existing and proposed rates driven by the model, assistance in revising and updating the rate model, review of and comment on a draft memorandum to elected officials requesting a rate increase, and research of GBB’s files and other sources for example memoranda and resolutions for solid waste rate adjustments in other selected communities to assist the City in crafting a final memorandum requesting adjustment in collection and disposal rates.
