Corinne Rico Joins GBB as Senior Consultant with Sustainable Development Focus

McLean, VA (September 4, 2018) – Gershman, Brickner & Bratton, Inc. (GBB) is pleased to announce that Corinne Rico has joined the firm as Senior Consultant, focusing on helping communities sustainably manage waste and recover resources through alternative streams including recycling, composting, and circular economy initiatives.

Corinne RicoAn experienced Project Manager, she most recently was a Fellow in the Sustainable Cities Institute at the National League of Cities. She also has over 9 years of experience in the sustainable interior architecture and planning industry and is currently completing a Master of Science degree in Resilient and Sustainable Communities, from Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT, to enhance and advance her knowledge in sustainability, community resiliency, climate change, strategies and initiatives to support responsible and equitable development.

“Corinne has a combination of project management, research and analysis skills along with valuable recent experience leading the development of Municipal Action Guides on sustainable waste management, recycling, resource recovery, and circular economic development for local governments in the Sustainable Cities Institute at the National League of Cities,” stated Tom Reardon, GBB Senior Vice President. “Coupled with her current studies in the field of sustainability, it makes her a great addition to the GBB team, poised to be an important contributor to our consulting projects.”

In addition to her role at the National League of Cities, she was Parks Fellow for the NoMa Parks Foundation, in Washington, D.C., where she developed material for community outreach and engagement, and leveraged partnerships with local government and community stakeholders for the creation and implementation of grant-funded sustainable and equitable parks, public art, and streetscape improvements. She was also Senior Associate/Project Manager, Project Designer, and Facilities Design Analyst for architectural and design-build firms where she managed a wide range of projects and initiatives
