(Fairfax, VA – March 1, 2013) – Gershman, Brickner & Bratton, Inc. (GBB) is pleased to announce that John G. Carlton, PE, BCEE and Christopher A. Lund, PE have joined GBB co-founders Harvey Gershman and Bob Brickner in the ownership group of the firm. Mr. Carlton has also been promoted to Senior Vice President.

Mr. Carlton joined GBB as Vice President in December 2011. He has more than 22 years of solid waste management experience, both as a consultant and in executive positions for public-sector authorities. Prior to joining GBB, he served as Project Director and Project Manager for landfill baseliner and closure designs, landfill and composting operator procurements, solid waste management plan development, waste-to-energy, and landfill photovoltaic projects for CDM Smith, a national consulting, engineering, construction, and operations firm. In his 12 years of public-sector experience, he was Executive Director of the Pollution Control Financing Authority of Warren County in Oxford, NJ, and Director, Division of Solid Waste and Recycling Services, of the Hunterdon County Utilities Authority, in Flemington, NJ.

Mr. Lund joined GBB in April 2008 as a Senior Project Engineer and was promoted to Vice President in August 2009. Since joining the firm, he has been a key member of the Guam-GBB Receivership Team (www.guamsolidwastereceiver.org), providing overall engineering and project management for the planning, design, permitting, construction, and construction management of Consent Decree projects. Prior to joining GBB, he managed the Guam/Micronesia Area office in 11 years with Dames & Moore/URS, served six years as the Chief Engineer/Water Division Director of the Guam Environmental Protection Agency (GEPA), and over a year with Bowman Consulting Group.
